Ivory Coast Prime Minister and Presidential candidate Amadou Gon Coulibaly, has died.
President Alassane Ouattara made the announcement yesterday, saying the West African nation was in mourning.
According to the presidential statement made available to QIBLA FM, Mr. Coulibaly died on Wednesday afternoon not long after he had attended a meeting with the president.
Mr. Coulibaly, 61, traveled to France earlier this year for heart examinations and rest and had returned just last Thursday.
The now late Prime Minister was the chosen candidate for the ruling party to contest elections 2020 before his passing.
