Ghana: President Akufo-Addo locks himself up

Ghana’s President Nana Akufo-Addo has gone into quarantine due to exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

The 76-year-old leader chose to impose himself into isolation Saturday after one of his aides contracted the potentially deadly virus.

Mr. Akufo-Addo has tested negative to the virus per a signed press release sent to QIBLA FM.

The president will discharge his executive duties from the Presidential Villa in Accra for the next fourteen days, according to his communication minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
